Educational institutions to reopen on 12th

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the reopening of all educational institutions in the province on Jan 12.It also asked schools, colleges and universities to strictly implement security plan. The announcement was made by provincial information and culture minister Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani during a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Thursday evening.

Self-defense: ‘Arms permits will be given to educational institutes’

Quality education still a distant dream: Report

About 21 per cent of Pakistan’s children aged between 6 to 16 years still remain out of school and the remaining 79 per cent that are enrolled in the same age bracket are not learning much.
According to the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) 2014 national survey, student competencies in learning English, arithmetic, and language are deplorable as half i.e. 54 per cent of the children from Class V cannot read Class II level text in Urdu/Sindhi/ Pashto. Sindh has the lowest learning level of English in Class-V i.e. 24 per cent.

PWD to estimate cost of security checks at schools

The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has tasked the Pakistan-Public Works Department (Pak-PWD) with estimating how much the strict security checks at Islamabad’s government schools and colleges will cost. As many as 8,798 schools in Dera Ghazi Khan division have been advised not to reopen until they have met the security guidelines issued by the government. PPSF demands for the inquiry of irregularities in University of Baluchistan 

In a statement of PSF it is mentioned that the committee comprised by university of Baluchistan is a dummy committee for examination which is taking decision of favoritism we demand for a neutral committee to inquire the irregularities in examination of university of Baluchistan and also conduct an inquiry on the illegal promotion and posting in the university. In the statement the two cases of promotion and appointment have been highlighted wherein in one case a herbarium keeper (Grade-16) promoted to grade 19 in one day and in other case the employee of grade 16 given charge of 19. They also mention the plan of misusing the authority by the committee comprised for the examination, this committee has decided to put fine and penalty on 3000 student of Rs.10000 PKR, which will not be accept by PSF and we will show agitation against any unlawful decision.

F.A/ F.sc exam fee submission announcement

Baluchistan board of intermediate and secondary education announces the exam date sheet. According to the HSC (intermediate) F.A, F.sc exam starting date will be Jan 7, 2015. There will be no late fee charges till to the Jan 26, 2015. The late submission of fine will start from Feb 03, 2015 till to the Feb 16, 2015. After this deadline no one can submit their admission form with any amount of fee.

Corruption and Robbery will be investigated in examination branch of UOB

QUETTA: Provincial Statement of Pashtun Student Federation. PSF demands for the investigation of administration specifically examination branch. The organization body claimed that the upper level of faculty members wants to trap the lower scale employees in the corruption cases of examination branch. The Pro Vice Chancellor has made a committee which is unaffected in the result of accountability. There is no check and balance and meditation over the same branch. We demanded for transparent investigation and we regret personal judgment of their criteria. The concern branch have disappeared the Rs. 15000000 a thick amount of fee as a black money Before the forthcoming result of B.A, in the reward examination branch have impose fine over the student of same university, and it is impossible to generate this thick amount of fee through the students penalty. This is injustice with the students.

Private Schools Association determined to open schools on 12th January, 2015

Zia Islam Zahid, Central Vice President of Private Schools Association, while addressing a meeting of the owners of private schools at Dera Ghazi Khan, said that it was Constitutional duty of the government to provide security to the life and property of the citizens. The closure of schools should not be extended and if the government does so, the private schools will be opened on 12th January in any case.  The meetings were attended by 200 principals of private schools.

Dr. Salim Kamboh, Distric Vice President of Jamat-e-Islami, Rahim Yar Khan has said that the education of students should not be further harmed by closing schools due to the security threats.  He said that the government was using security arrangements as an excuse to close down the schools.

School closure left 4000 students uneducated since 42 years

Hyderabad: Primary School village Wali Muhammad Rind Tando Muhammad Khan road is closed since 42 years. Due to its closure generations of the village population have been uneducated. Villagers told that school is closed due to non-compliance of Education Department. In this era of Science and Technology, students are deprived of their basic right of getting Primary Education; and 99% population of the village is uneducated due to closure of school. They have demanded from higher authorities to take notice and provide their children right of Education. They further added that Politicians only come to their village during their time of Elections, but do not pay any attention on school closure.
