Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Atif Khan on Wednesday denied that the government had permitted teachers to carry arms to schools. Atif was speaking at a conference on the role of teachers in delivering quality education to children organised by Alif Ailaan at a local hotel. In the aftermath of the December 16 massacre, several reports had quoted Minister for Information Mushtaq Ghani as saying teachers would be allowed to carry weapons with permits to school.

Schools ff Bahawalpur to have security cameras on 24 Hours a day

Bahawalpur: Provincial Minister M Iqbal Chunnar visited several girls’ schools and colleges of Bahawalpur and advised the management to have barbed wire on the boundary walls and keep the security camera functional 24 hours a day.

Bus demanded for Boys Degree College Oachsharif

Oachsharif:  The residents of Oachsharif have said that the Punjab Govt. has not provided a bus to the Govt.  Boys Degree College Oachsharif.   They said that the CM must provide a bus to the said college.

Cadet College too be set up at Fort Munro 

Dera Ghazi Khan:  MPA Sardar Jamal Khan Laghari, while addressing a function at Degree College Dera Ghazi Khan said that a Cadet College will be set up at Fort Munro, the security arrangement have been improved and 8 Kanal land was obtained for the construction of girls school, the Punjab govt. was seriously working on promotion of education.

47 Primary Schools closed out of 200 in Jhudo

District Mirpur Khas: Sindh Government did not take any notice of closure of Schools at Jhudo. Reports declare that 47 Primary Schools (Boys and Girls) out of 200 are closed and higher authorities are blind to take any notice. 50 Boys and 12 Girls Primary Schools are closed in Union Council Aahuri, 56 Boys and 12 Girls in U.C Dilawar Hussain, 40 Boys are 6 Girls in U.C Roshanabad, 48 Boys and 8 Girls in U.C Fazal Bhambhro, 37 Boys and 6 Girls in U.C Naokot, 6 Boys and 5 Girls in Taluka Jhudo are closed. While concerned Teachers are free of their duties and busy in their private works. Citizens have demanded from Education Minister Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro to take notice of Closure of Schools.

Deputy Commissioner Visits Schools

District Sanghar: Deputy Commissioner visited different Schools of Jam Nawaz Ali including Primary School Sikander Khushik Berani, Girls Middle School Berani, Primary School Berani and others. During his visit of Schools he checked record and said Ghost Teachers will be treated tough and directed that they should perform their ditties with honesty. He found 5 Teachers absent and issued them notices.

S.U.P Members protested against Ghost Schools

District Larkana: Sindh United Party Members protested before Press Club Dokri against Closure of Schools in Dokri Taluka. On the occasion they told that hundreds of Teachers are on Visa and are not willing to attend Schools; due to their non-compliance Schools are closed and Education is ruined; whereas Taluka Education Officers and Supervisors have found new ways of corruption to grab SMC funds and other budget. They demanded from higher authorities to take action against corrupt officers and save Education.

Primary School construction work left incomplete; Shortage of furniture and Teachers

District Mirpur Khas: Government Primary Main School Kot Ghulam Muhammad was established in 1902 in the name of Barrister Rais Ghulam Muhammad Bhurgri. But due to carelessness of Education Department it is being ruined and Education is being affected; its construction work is left incomplete by the contractor. Building of the School is decaying and compound walls have been damaged. Teachers are transferred to other schools; only 2 Teachers are working. Furniture of the School is damaged and there is acute shortage of bathrooms and drinking water.

Girls School closed

Sindh Government takes steps to ensure School Security, Education Minister

Karachi: Senior Education Minister Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has declared that Sindh Government is taking steps to ensure Security plan of the schools. He said directives have been issued to install Monitoring System and construction of compound walls of the schools; Police have been directed to petrol surrounding areas of the schools and they are being checked.

High Schools without Head Master; Teacher on Visa

District Naushehro Feroz: The condition of High Schools of important Talukas of District Naushehro Feroz is deplorable due to non-availability of Head Masters in the Schools. Kandiaro, Bhriya City and Tharu Shah high Schools are running without Head Masters and most of the Teachers are on Visa and Students are worried about their future. School plats have been occupied by local landlords and encroachment before school gates is being increased by people. Civil Society, Citizens and others have demanded to take notice and save schools.

Village without Girls School

District Benzirabad: Village Mitha Khan Jokhio is without Girls School and Girls are compelled to study in Boys Schools. The villagers told that they have informed MPS and MNAs for Girls School building, but yet nothing has happened; hundreds of Girls are deprived of Girls School. They added that if School building is not given, they would knock the doors of Court.

Primary School closed since years

District Thatto: Primary School village Umer Chang near Jhampir is closed since years. The residents of the village have protested and demanded from higher authorities to take notice and save future of their children. They have informed concerned officers, but nothing has happened yet.
