Mohmand teachers get arms training

GHALANAI: The political administration on Wednesday started special weapons trainings for male and female teachers in the Mohmand tribal region. Initially, 12 female and 20 male teachers were given trainings in SMGs, and firearms by the local administration with the help of Pak Army. Call to release security funds for schools

TIMERGARA: The headmistresses of government girls primary schools in Lower Dir on Wednesday demanded the release of funds meant for providing security at the schools.  In a statement issued to the media on Wednesday, the head teachers complained that after the Army Public School incident they were told to raise boundary walls of their schools, which they did on their own, but despite passage of over a month the promised funds had not been released.

Kohistan’s only boys college without teachers, students

MANSEHRA: Kohistan deputy commissioner during a surprise visit to the only boys degree college in the region here the other day found teacher and students missing. Three hundred students approved for need-based scholarships

Rawalpindi: Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual exams 2015 will start on March 2, 2015. Bullet spotted in school sparks alarm

RAWALPINDI: The recovery of the casing of a bullet from a girls’ school on Babu Lal Hussain Road created panic on Wednesday. The bullet casing was spotted by the private security guard deployed at the school who immediately informed the school headmistress. Tackling the poor quality of teaching by Asghar Soomro

Recruitment, management and professional development of teachers have become the most difficult and complex of tasks in Sindh. It is shocking to hear the provincial secretary of the education and literacy department state that over 30,000 ‘ghost’ teachers have been recruited in the provincial education department and around Rs30-40 billion are wasted on them annually. LAHORE: Education Department has failed in the interviews of new expected recruitments. In the report they said that the documents procedure has been finished but on the occasion they have just fill up the attendance sheet of the present candidates, and after check out the domiciles of the candidates then sent it over their residential address. Punjab Govt. decided to close all the 650 Higher Secondary Schools

Due to fewer enrollments in the Higher Secondary Schools in Punjab, Govt. has decided to close all the 650 Higher Secondary Schools, and 3300 teachers associated with these schools will be shifted to the colleges on temporary basis. In replace of these Higher Secondary Schools New Inter Colleges will be established. Head Master’s association has condemned the Punjab Govt. decision.

E.D.O Elementary visited School; 13 Teachers and other staff absent

District Umerkot: E.D.O Elementary Education Mr. Aman Ul Allah Sand visited High School Village Sher Khan Nuhrio. During his visit he found 13 Teachers including other staff absent from the school. There was quarrel in between Head Master of the school and E.D.O on the non-compliance of first. The matter started on the checking of record of the school, but Head Master refused to show record. E.D.O said that head Master does not attend school; on that Head Master said E.D.O is concerned with Primary Section.

Primary School building dangerous for students

District Sukkur: The building of primary School village Laaik Maka is compeletly damaged and is a danger for the students. Its roof pieces are tumbling down and rooms are cracked. About 300 Students lives are in danger due to crumbling condition of the school building. Girls are also studying in the same building due to non-availability of girls Primary School in the village. Villagers have informed Education Department, but still nothing has happened to repair that building. They have demanded from responsible authorities to take notice.

Six Urdu Medium Teachers deputed in Sindhi Medium School

District Larkana: There are three Sindhi Teachers including Head Master in Primary Boys School village Ghulam Sarwar Kamario. But with the favor of Education Department Six other Urdu Medium Teachers have been appointed. On that STP members protested and said that Urdu Medium Teachers are unaware about Sindhi Language and that is injustice with Sindhi Sindhi Medium. 41 Teachers appointed on contract basis in Education

Karachi: In the light of Decision of Supreme Court and Sindh High Court and Sindh Education Department has appointed 41 Teachers from 11 Districts of Sindh on contract basis. The contract has been issued to 29 PST, 11 JST and 1 HST. They were appointed in 2006, but now by following the Court Decision they have been appointed for the tenure of 3 years contract.

District Dadu: Primary School Bhan Saeedabad is without Teachers. The school building was constructed two years ago, but since then no Teacher is appointed; even its SMC code is not issued; Students are deprived of getting Primary Education. The plot owner of the School told that still no any job is given to them and villagers are running school with self help.
