Schools in Tirah lack basic facilities despite reopening last year

The students and teachers of the government schools have been facing a host of problems though the schools in Tirah Maidan of Khyber Agency were re-opened a year ago. Teachers had not provided books, furniture, mats and others essential items at the schools. The educational institutions were destroyed during clashes between the security forces and militants in Tirah.

Call to implement University Model Act

The Federation of All Public Sector Universities Administrative Officers Association has urged the provincial government to implement the University Model Act, 2015, to stop `illegal practices` in the institutions of higher learning. Speaking at a news conference at the press club on Wednesday, the association`s president Mohammad Ilyas Khan said the act was approved about two months ago but it was yet to be implemented.

Governor`s House stirs confusion about student politics

609 teachers working without pay for three months

Over 600 teachers appointed in March have been working without salaries for the last three months here. The district administration recruited 609 teachers on contract in March who took charge on April 2. But they were yet to be paid even after three months.

Automation brings transparency, Zakat for deserving with honour

The Secretary, Ushr and Zakat, Government of Punjab, Habibur Rahman Gilani said that full attention was being given in the areas of healthcare and education as educational stipends amounted to Rs1155 million that include 40% for technical education, through PVTC. 852 school buildings including Multan declared dangerous

District Multan: The Punjab government has declared 852 school buildings dangerous including many of them based in Multan city. Hundreds of flood affected Schools did not restore

District Qamber: District Education Officer District Qamber Shahdadkot Mr. Haq Naqwaz reached different social and political parties to tell them the condition of the schools and needed their assistance for restoration of the flood affected schools which are still closed. The flood affected schools are closed since years and future of the poor children is on the verge of devastation. He appealed the citizens to stop the conspiracies of the organizations which are creating hurdles in the ways of restoration of the schools.

JSSF continued protest for completion of construction work of school

District Qamber: The JSSF members from Qubo Saeed Khan protested for completion of construction work of Government High School. They declared that contractor was using substandard material in the construction work of the school. They demanded for action against him.

Shortage of furniture in High Schools of Sindh despite huge amount of budget

Karachi: The budget of Millions of rupees was spent on the High Schools, but the condition of the Schools remained same. Most of the schools are still deprived of furniture, science equipments and other material. The amount of 6 Arab and 70 Crore was spared through education reform support program 2. But schools have not been issued the required material to run.
