Govt asked to fill vacant posts at Karak Girls’ College

The local people have demanded of the authorities to fill vacant posts of teachers at the degree college for girls in Karak. They said that various posts, including that of principal, were vacant in the college that affected studies of the students badly. They alleged that majority of the girl students were forced to take admission in other colleges owing to shortage of teachers in the said college.

Private educational institutions’ security fee protested

ISLAMABAD: Students and their parents have voiced strong protest over blatant charging of additional fee at the rate of Rs 1,190 per month in the name of security charges in federal capital despite strongly worded directives and warning from ministry of CADD. Government lifts ban on posting, transfer of teachers

Wednesday, March 04, 2015 - Lahore—Punjab government on Tuesday lifted ban on posting and transfer of teachers. According to the details, Punjab government clarified that the transfers would only be carried out on merit basis whereas no transfer would be made for teachers teaching at schools already deficient of educators. District Education Officers (DEOs), on the other hand, called upon applications from teachers, awaiting their transfers, till March 7.

Bahawalpur: Mohammed Jamil, a teacher of grade 7 serving at Chak No.118/DB Tailwalla, got himself promoted into grade 11 through forging documents in collaboration with DEO M. The Social Organization LSO has collected the data of Ghost Schools of District Thurparker and have declared that in Union Council Jorso there are 20 school closed; whereas in Primary School village Khari Wah there are 6 Teachers for teaching 56 Students. The report shows that 20 schools are closed out of 107 in one U.C; whereas 83 Schools are without facility of drinking water; 54 Schools are without bathrooms, 92 Schools are without compound walls and 30% children are out of schools.

Number of School closed in Tando Ghulam Hyder District Badin

Number of Government Schools are closed in Taluka Tando Ghulam Hyder including Government Primary and Girls Primary School of the Taluka. The residents declared that Education Officers are showing the schools are running; whereas the schools are closed and running in the record only. The supervisors are involved in taking monthly bribe from the Teachers and leave them on Visa System. The villagers of village Ayub Chang, Village Dilawar Chandio, Yousif chang and Yaqub Memon have demanded from Secretary Education and Sindh Education Minster Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro to take notice and restore the schools to save future of the students.

SMC Funds grabbed ; Schools left in crumbling condition

District Shikarpur: Many of the schools of Sultan pur are left in crumbling condition due to violation of SMC Funds of the schools. The school compound walls are ruined; there is problem of basic facility of drinking water; furniture and many other things. School buildings are decaying and their roof pieces are falling, but Government does not take any notice to inquire about the violation of SMC funds and their proper utilization.

Sindh Government privatizes three reputed Schools

Hyderabad: Sindh Government has taken the initiatives to privatize Government School to NGOs. In this regard three Schools, Government Boys High School No 1 Gol Building Hyderabad, Government Girls Mehran High School Qasimabad and Government Boys High School Qasimabad are handed over to NGOs. The pact has been signed between Global Educational and Welfare Society and Sindh Education Foundation on 25th Feb: 2015 in Karachi.

Assistant Commissioner visits Schools; Notice to 15 Ghost Teachers

District Larkana: Assistant Commissioner along with Taluka Education Officer visited the Schools of Union Council Phull and Union Concil Bero Chandio; while on their visit they found 15 Ghost Teachers and issued them show cause notice and directed them to join their duties within a week, otherwise the report would be sent to Secretary Education.

Sindh High Court directed to restore 500 Ghost Schools of District Larkana

On the petition of resident Mr. Ata Muhammad Chandio from village Warah it was declared that 500 School are closed in Larkana division. Taking the notice of Ghost Schools, High court Larkana has directed Director Education to restore these Schools. Whereas, Director Education told that schools are closed due to shortage of Teachers in rural areas.
