Peshawar: District Education Officer Peshawar Shareef Gul visited yesterday visited the different schools of Peshawar. He visited GPS New Garhi and GMS Samar Bagh. He found two teachers were absent from their duties in GPS New Garhi and he stopped their salaries as a punishment.

Teachers must accept the challenge to improve performance of government institutions

District Vehari: Saqib Khurshid MPA and Member of Punjab Public Accounts Committee, while addressing the concluding session of teacher training at Model High School Vehari said that the teachers must take up the challenge of improving the performance and quality of education at the government schools and colleges.  He said that there was a need to promote sense of responsibility among teachers to ensure 100 per cent enrolment of children to schools and to materialize CM’s vision of education for everyone.

Negligence of Education Officers, Hundreds of schools locked, District Admin helpless

District Rajanpur: Hundreds of schools are locked in District Rajanpur due to negligence of the officers of the Education Department and the District Administration is helpless in this regard.  Most of the teachers who were recruited due to recommendations of the political personalities are often absent from schools.  The Secretary Education was presented a report of “all good” during his visit to the District and his visit was kept secret from the media.

School boundary wall incomplete, contractor disappears along with construction material and machinery

District Rahim Yar Khan: The contractor Anwar Alam, who was given the contract for construction of boundary wall of the Govt. Boys Primary School Chak No.64/P, Marri Allah Bachaya, has disappeared along with material and machinery leaving the boundary wall of the said school incomplete.  He said that some people of the area have demanded RS.20,000/- from him as forced tax (Bhatta).

Teachers attending training declared absent by CM Monitoring Team

District Rahim Yar Khan: Hundreds of teachers who were attending Cluster Training and were absent from their schools due to attending this training were declared as absent by the Monitoring Team of the CM Punjab.  These teachers were issued show-cause notices by the District Education Officer and were called to the Education Office, the DEO Kausar Parveen had disappeared and there was no water for the hundreds of teachers.

Primary School building in decaying position

District Sanghar: The building of Government Primary School village Deputy is decaying and its different parts are tumbling. The villagers declared that more than 300 girls and other students are sitting under open sky. They added that since 22 years the building is not repaired.

Biometric system introduced for ensuring Teachers attendance

District Nawabshah: Secretary Education Mr. Fazal Ul Allah Pechuho has declared during his attendance at inauguration of Biometric system in Government H.M Khuwaja Garden High School Nawabshah. He told media that Biometric system is being installed in the schools to ensure 100% attendance of the Teachers in the Schools. He said through this system one lac and fifty thousand Teachers would be in direct touch with him.

Education ruined at District Dadu due to closure of Schools and Ghost Teachers

More than 229 Schools of District Dadu were closed due to carelessness of Education Department and instead of restoring those Schools further 92 Schools have been closed. The condition of Education in the district is worst due to closure of Schools and Ghost Teachers. The closed Schools include 100 in Taluka Johi, 42 in Mehar, 38 in Khairpur Nathan Shah, 36 in Taluka Dadu. While buildings of 13 Primary Schools out of 61 in Dadu Town are in worst position and Head masters of the Schools have closed them and Students are compelled to sit under open sky in sizzling heat. On the other hand building of Girls Primary School Pir Bux Colony is grabbed by the land grabbers. Most of the Schools are without basic facilities of furniture, drinking water and other. 684 Ghost Teachers have been declared, but salary of only 30 Teachers is stopped.

Girls drop their Education after fifth class due to non-availability of Secondary Schools

District Larkana: Secondary Education for Girls is a dream in Union Council Waris Dino Machi Taluka Ratodero. Girls drop their education at the stage of fifth class due to non availability of Secondary Schools. While two building have not been constructed in ten years and girls cannot go to Taluka Ratordero Schools to get Secondary Education. Girls have declared that they want to continue their education after fifth class but they are compelled to drop it due to absence of Schools.

Seminar at Law College by Sheedo Organization

District Matiayri: Seminar on the title of Global Action Week was organized by the social organization Sheedo at Law College Hala where number of personalities including, Chairman SRDS Mr. Noor Muhammad Sahato, Principal Technical College Ajan Shah Mr. Habib Sanai, P.T. Alif General Secretary Hyderabad Mr. Asad Ul Allah Memon and others attended. It was declared in the seminar that  Matiyai District is on 98 number in 148 Districts of the country, whereas it is on 13th number in 24 Districts of Sindh. Further it was declared that better steps were taken by the civil society and other social organizations to promote Education in the district and doors of Court were knocked, but nothing happened.
