The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government had claimed to distribute free books among students by February 28, but failed. They only distributed 53% books among students in 16 Districts. Privatization of schools – Tension mounts between teachers and government

District Multan: The Government has decided to hand over 1000 Schools of the whole Province of Punjab, including Multan to the new Management and this contract is going to be for a period of 2 years.  The contract will be later extended.  This step of privatization of Schools has taken the tensions between Teachers bodied and the Government Officials to the new heights.  The Schools will be handed over from the First of April.  The Government will pay RS.550/- per Student to the Private Schools.  The new management will have the right to hire and fire the Staff and will pay the salaries to the Staff.  The Teachers bodies have denounced the policy and have decided to launch the campaign.

Karachi/Hyderabad/ Sukkur: The Examination papers of ninth and matric are running under Karachi, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Larkana and Mirpurkhas Education Board. But cheating did not stop in the examination centers. Even Paper of English Subject was sold in the market, before starting of Examination. The vigilance teams caught about 800 candidates while cheating.
