Government has insulting attitude towards Primary Teachers (by Professor Riaz Abid)

The history shows that the nations that have progressed, have done so by promoting education among its people and not by metorbusses, railways and other mega projects.  Teaching is a prophetic profession, but in our society, teachers have to protest on roads for their demands.  The bureaucrats who study from primary teachers for their primary education, do not bother to resolve the problems of the very primary teachers that they have obtained education from.  Teachers are often called for meetings at the Education Department.  If teachers continue to go for meetings, then how could they teach the children.  Most schools do not have sufficient teachers and one teacher has to teach 5 classes.  Education Department often visit the school.  That leaves teachers with only 18 working days.  How could a teacher teach all the syllabus to 5 classes in 18 working days?
