Three students hurt in IED explosion

Three students were injured in an Improvised Explosives Device (IED) explosion on Tuesday in the remote Doog Darra area in Upper Dir district, official sources said. Police sources said that unidentified terrorists had planted an IED near the Government Primary School for boys, Salam Bekai, and they wanted to target the school and its students.

CADD minister interfering too much in FDE matters

The interference of Federal Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry in educational institutions has crossed all limits. While bypassing Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) Director General (DG) Dr Shahnaz Riaz, all orders of transfers, promotions, appointments and even admissions of children to schools are issued from the CADD minister's office in violation of rules and regulations. Talented and intelligent young students must be appreciated for showing excellence in their studies no matter which part of the country they belong to. According to reports, Naureen Kausar of Gujranwala and Mahzaib Naseem of Multan have scored 504 out of a total of 505 marks each in their respective boards in the Secondary School Certificate (Class 9) Annual Examination 2016. This is quite a remarkable achievement by these young girls.

Lack of facilities in government high school

Rustam: The government claims of an education emergency seem fake in Government High School Rustam. The school lacks basic facilities, due to which many students have fainted in class. The highly populated area has only one school which has no proper facilities. There are only two ceiling fans for 74 students, who have to sit on the floor. Admissions on the basis of Favoritism is very depressing: Alamzaib Advocate

Temargarra: Temargarra City Nazim and PPP Member Alamzaib Advocate protested against admissions that occurred on the basis of favoritism, saying that the college headmistress does not perform her duties and is running the college via telephone. He further said that local students have been unable to secure admissions in the college, which shows that admissions are on the basis of favoritism and nepotism, which should not be tolerated.

NTS teachers deprived of salaries: GTA

District Quetta: President GTA Balochistan Mr. Haji Habib-ur-Rehman along with other members said in a joint statement that NTS pass teachers are deprived of salaries in most districts of Balochistan.
