Call to lift ban on use of conditional grant in schools
The Government Teachers Alliance (GTA) has demanded an end to political interference in the education department and asked the district government to remove the ban on utilisation of conditional grant to provide missing facilities in schools.
Parent-teacher councils being empowered
The government is empowering parent-teacher councils to improve the standard of education at schools and colleges, said elementary and secondary education minister Atif Khan on Tuesday. Assurance of 100% attendance in school after Eid holidays
Deputy District Education Officer Chilton Town Gul Muhammad visited the primary school in Sardar Asif Mengal Town along with his inspection team. Noticing the short attendance of students even after the end of Eid vacations, he advised teachers to contact the parents of children and make sure the attendance of students is 100%.

10,000 to be sent to US for PhD: HEC chief
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) will send 10,000 scholars to the United States for PhD studies from the next year, in critical areas of agriculture and food security, medical and allied health sciences, energy, water, climate change, advanced digital technology and others.
HEC has distributed 12,000 scholarships for higher education
Since the establishment of HEC in 2002, 12,000 scholarships have been distributed to students for higher education in national and international universities. According to government documents, the HEC has given scholarships to 198 students for Master’s programs outside the country.
Open University: PTC, CT, B.Ed. exams will start from 3 October
