Peshawar Girls School Evacuated Over Terror Scare

A girls’ school in the Peshawar cantonment area was evacuated on Tuesday morning over a terror scare, which later turned out to be a hoax. The incident occurred at the Shabbir Shaheed Girls’ Higher Secondary School located on Sunehri Masjid Road. It is the second such incident in few days.

Imran Inaugurates School for Underprivileged Students

GB Government Cancels Registration 30 Seminaries, 320 NGO’s

The Gilgit-Baltistan government on Tuesday cancelled the registration of 30 seminaries and 320 non-governmental organizations (NGO) in Gilgit region as they were not functional. Taking to The Nation, Assistant Commissioner and Registration In-charge in Gilgit Rana Waqas Anwer said that 320 NGOs and 30 seminaries have not submitted their Audit report since 2008.

Education Seminar

District Sujawal: The Social Organizations, SAFCOW and Plan Pakistan organized a seminar in the district, with the cooperation of Allama Iqbal Open University, where certificates and shields were offered to the girls aged 15 to 40, who had left education after passing fifth class but were given free education up till middle school level. It was declared in the seminar that girls leave education due to the shortage of basic facilities in the schools.
