‘Ghar Aya Ustad’: Enrolment drives in Haripur, Mansehra

HARIPUR: Education awareness and enrolment drives were held in Haripur and Mansehra districts on Wednesday. The campaign was put together under the auspices of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government and Alif Ailaan’s joint initiative, Ghar Aya Ustad. PTI leader and former provincial minister Yousuf Ayub inaugurated the campaign at Government High School for Boys No1 Haripur. An entire day of fun-filled activities was followed by a poetry session in the evening. Poets from Haripur, Abbottabad and other districts, and towns of Punjab participated in the mushaira organised with support from Anjuman-e-Taraqqi Pasand Musanifeen.

No action on proposal to increase education, healthcare spending

Last year, both Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah had agreed, in writing, to work together towards structural improvements in the health and education sectors. Ghost Schools have been restored; 12000 Teachers would be recruited in Education: Education Minister

Larkana: Sindh Education Minster Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has declared that 1687 Ghost Schools from different areas of Sindh have been restored and functionalized; whereas 3600 non-functional Schools would be restored very soon. While he added that 17000 Teachers have been appointed through transparent ways and further 12000 HST, JST and PST teachers would be recruited on merit basis. He said Education is free from 6 to 16 years of age where students can learn what their basic rights are and they can improve their future easily. Further he said in the previous recruitment, female candidates were given grace marks to improve their ability and enhance their interest to teach.
