Most Pakistani children who are in school receive an education of poor quality. More than half of all children in Class 5 cannot read basic sentences or perform simple mathematical calculations. Of the children who enter school in Class 1, only 25% reach Class 10. The reminder drop out before complete their schooling.

The system is failing our children by not proving them with a quality education. There are various surveys of learning outcomes that attest to this sad reality.

It is not enough simply to get children into school. The education they receive must be of high quality, to prepare them to meet the challenges of the future and to become productive members of society.
