Arms licenses issued to 42 educational institutions of Peshawar

The district administration of Peshawar has issued arms licences to 42 private educational institutions of the city for security purposes. Complying with government orders, the district administration and school administrations were making efforts to ensure security of the students and staffers. Zaheerul Islam said that 42 private schools, which had applied for licences, have been issued arms licences, while licences would be issued to others as soon they applied.

Govt plans establishment of standardized schools

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to launch a new programme for the construction of standardised schools in the province. Under the programme, 100 high schools with education, facilities and security measures of international standards will be established by June this year, said a handout issued here on Saturday.

Govt. set to start performance audit of universities

The Higher Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is set to commence performance audit of eight public sector universities through an international audit firm, according to sources. Watchmen of Mansehra schools sacked over absence

District Education Officer Gohar Ali Khan has sacked three employees because of prolonged absence from duty. Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has been named among the list of 500 most influential people in 2015 in Britain. The annual Debrett’s 500 list covers 24 categories, which include sports, journalism, politics, advertising, architecture, food and education. Malala was named in the list of “Philanthropists and Activists” among 20 other personalities, which include Emma Watson and HRH Prince Henry of Wales, as reported by the British media.

Only 23 seminaries receiving foreign funding: minister

The Senate was informed on Friday that only 23 religious seminaries in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtun­khwa and Balochis­tan were receiving foreign funding. Minister of State for Interior Baleeghur Rahman told the upper house that according to information received from provincial governments so far, as many as 12 madressahs in KP were receiving funding from various sources in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Found guilty: HEC toothless against own plagiarists

It seems that the top regulatory body for higher education has become ineffectual in probing plagiarism cases as some of the alleged plagiarists have managed to skip its radar. Interestingly, one of the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC’s) own official, who was found guilty of plagiarism by an anti-plagiarism committee, has been hinted of promotion to Grade-21 as the official is already occupying the seat on an additional charge basis.

Grade 5, 8 exams made optional for private schools

Government Decides To Transform 10% Schools Into Technical & 10% Into Turkish Model

Islamabad: The Federal Education Minister Baleeghur Rehman, while addressing the National Education Conference said that the Federal Government has decided to transform 10% government schools into technical schools and another 10% to Turkey’s Imam Hattam Model Schools.  He also said that a National Education Policy had been formulated and it will be finalized by December.  Funds had been sanctioned and transferred for setting up National Curriculum Secretariat.  The technical education will be upgraded up to 15 percent.  It was the responsibility of the Government to provide equal opportunities for education to every child.

Govt. Primary School Kot Hassoo Lacks Facilities, Has No Boundary Wall

Kot Hassoo: Mana Ahmedani: Ghulam Farid Khan Sarajani, General Secretary of Saraiki Party District Rajanpur has said that the Government Primary Schools Kot Hassoo lacks basic facilities and does not even have a boundary wall.  He warned the government to improve and upgrade the said school that was established in 1961 otherwise a high level protest will be launched.

Corruption In Construction Of School Boundary Walls

Darkhawast Jamal Khan: Corruption has been detected in the construction of boundary walls of Government Primary School Shahoo Buzdar, Government Primary School Quraishiwala, and Government Middle School Mai Da Farm (all situated in Dera Ghazi Khan).  The cause is said to be the negligence of the contractor.

Teachers Protest Against Examination Duties To Other Cities

Rahim Yar Khan: Mohammed Asif Akhtar, Central Chief Coordinator, and Mumtaz Ahmed Shah, District President, Primary Elementary Teachers Association while addressing a press conference said that the Government is creating ever new problems teachers students.  Now the government is compelling teachers to go to other tehsils (Sub-Districts) for examination duties.  The government must pay wages and TA/DA equal to the Higher Secondary School Teachers otherwise the teachers will not perform examination duties in other tehsils.

Middle School Be Up Graded To High

Darkhawast Jamal Khan: Fayyaz Ahmed Khan Ahmedani and Ayaz Ahmed Khan Ahmedani, both social and political personalities of Mouza Darkhawast Jamal Khan have given a written application to the Punjab Government that Government Middle School Battah Ghulam Ali was set up some 50 years ago and it has not been upgraded ever since.   They demanded that the school be up graded immediately.

District Thatto on 132 number in Education in allover country

The condition of Education in Distirct Thatto is worst. 66% children deprived of basic Education and 84% Schools are without basic facilities. The survey report has been issued by Alif Ailaan where it is declared that total number of schools in Thatto is 1538 and out of that 1441 are primary Schools; the total number of children in admitted in schools are 76286 including 73% girls; 32% children are dropped out in between their Education; 68% schools are without basic facility of bathrooms; 50% without compound walls; 2800 Teachers have been appointed, but 77% students are unable to pronounce simple words in sindhi language.

District Umer Kot: Due to shortage of female Teachers, 28 Girls Schools of the area are closed including Padhrio Farm, Long Nuhri, Abdullah Kabri, Sanjar Banglani, Gulzar Khalil, Kazi Ismail, Ibrahim Senharo, Abul Sami Rajar, Yar Muhammad Mahar and others. 50 Schools in Larkana District running without Head Masters

Education officers in Larkana have ruined Education of the District with their distant attitude with Education. 23 School out of 73 are running with Head Masters and remaining 50 Schools are running without Head Masters since last 4 years; on the respective posts in charges have been deputed to handle school management. The said Schools do not have Head Masters, Government Saint Josef High School Larkana, Munisple Higher Secondary School, High School Mahota, Damrah High School, High School Akil, High School Garhi Khuda Bux and others. Many of the School Head Masters have been issue DDO powers and Subject Specialists have been given the charge of different Schools to fill the record; whereas 489 Senior HSTs have been promoted to Head Masters, but 45 Senior HST Teachers promotions have been stopped.
