Trust provides free books, bags to students


Rokhan Trust provided free books worth 0.2million to some 130 student in Landikotal, the students had passed the written test organized by the trust officials in January.  130 students of 5th, 6th and 7th grade of various education institutes were given free books, stationary and school bags. A large number of students, civil society members, teachers and media men participated in the free education package distribution ceremony at a private education institution in Landikotal.

Decision on restoring old examination system IRKs students, parents


The grade-V students of the state-run schools and their parents on Monday expressed concern over the decision of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department to restore the old examination system and urged the government to reverse it. The students said the decision of conducting the examinations through high and higher secondary schools has created confusion and doubts.

680 daily employees not paid salaries for past 6 months


Over 680 daily wage employees of dengue elimination project run by Punjab government who had not been paid salaries for past six months are finding it difficult to meet both ends. However, there is a good news for them, as Executive District Officer, Health, as well as District Health Officer have claimed that Punjab government has released an amount of Rs30 million for the daily wage employees of dengue elimination project and they will get their outstanding dues within 3 to 4 days.

5th, Middle class exams: Invigilators’ remuneration increased


The Punjab government has increased remuneration of examiners and invigilators for supervising fifth and middle class annual board examinations across the province. According to a notification issued by the Punjab Examination Commission, remuneration of superintendents has been enhanced to Rs 700 from Rs 500, invigilators to Rs 400 from Rs 200, and peons and other Grade-4 employees, who perform duty in the examination centre, to Rs 200 from Rs 100 per day.

Govt. to appoint 237 AEO’s to improve education sector


With the aim to improve administrative performance and ensure basic educational facilities in schools the government will appoint 237 Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) in the division, including Sargodha district. Convention against Sindh universities act


The Sindh chapter of Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Associations has announced to form a unilateral convention against the recently made amendments in the Sindh Universities Act. The convention has been formed for the independence of universities.

Dr. Qaiser to remain KU VC

Degree Colleges await construction By Tayyaba Paracha


Two Degree Colleges near Dhoke Syedan Chowk in Rawalpindi have their construction pending for the last eight years as the basic structure of the buildings in complete, but due to some political issues, the empty buildings never got the chance to hold classes. According to rough estimates at least 42 million rupees have been spent on the infrastructure and construction of these colleges that have now become a second home for drug dealers and heroin junkies.
