Corruption in construction of boundary walls of many schools

District Dera Ghazi Khan: Civil Society members have complained that corruption has been done in the construction of boundary walls of most of the schools in District Dera Ghazi Khan.  They said that the boundary wall constructed with poor material will collapse with few months.

District Bahawalpur: The management of Govt. Boys High School has charged the school fees from the students for the whole year in one installment.  The civil society members also complained that the management has also sold out school trees and pocketed the money.

Encroachments block main gate of Girls High School

District Bahawalpur: The civil society members have said that the encroachers have blocked the main gate of the Govt. Girls High School Ahmedpur Sharqia and the school management takes monthly money from the shopkeepers and keeps its mouth shut.  The students are forced to use the rear gate.  They have demanded that DCO Bahawalpur must take action to remove encroachments on permanent basis.

Primary school closed for the past 6 years, repair funds eaten up

District Dera Ghazi Khan: Govt. Boys Primary School, Shahdeen Saddar has been closed for the past 6 years and the teachers are getting their salaries while staying at home.  The repair funds have been eaten up by management, school main-gate has been stolen, the building is turning into ruins and is being used by criminals and drug-addicts as a den, and children are herding cattle instead of going to schools.

Professors continue protest rallies for reinstatement of College

50,000 teachers to be regularized by Punjab Government

District Lahore:  The Punjab Government has decided to regularize the jobs of 50,000 teachers and the action against teachers who showed poor results has also been suspended.

Primary school with 150 children without basic facilities

District Bahawalnagar:  Government Primary School Chak No.104 Fateh, Chishtian has 150 children, but has no basic facilities like classrooms etc.  The children are compelled to sit under trees and they do not have even mats to sit on.  The school was established 40 years ago.  Civil society members have demanded facilities for school.

Sindh Education destruction advancing; it is on 6th Number in ranking of Education ruin: Alif Ailaan

Islamabad: The district level report of Education is displayed by the Non-Governmental Organization Alif Ailann. It is declared that Education in Sindh Province is advancing towards destruction due to various reasons. According to calculation of Education ranking report Islamabad is on first number, Azad Kashmir is on 2nd number, Punjab 3rd, Gilgit Baltistan on 4th, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 5th, Balochistan on 7th and FATA on 8th number. Punjab is one step down as compared to last year; whereas KPK is one step upwards where admission ratio is up to 83%. While one District of Sindh is in first 50 districts of the country and other remaining districts are down on in 148 districts of the country. According to Alif Ailaan’s report that FATA is advancing in Education and in Sindh District Sukkur is on 73 numbers. The report declares that 47.60 percent Schools are without facility of electricity; whereas 48.57 percent Schools are without facility of water and 54.17 percent Schools are without Bathrooms. While 57 percent School of Sindh are without compound walls and 52 percent Schools in crumbling condition. The report claims that district thatta is in worst condition. The great challenge is standing to be faced in Sindh through better policies and steps.

Only two Teachers for 224 Students in School

District Thurparker: Education and future of 224 Students of Government Primary School village Shahmeer Wikiya near Islamkot is ruined due to shortage of Teachers. The residents of the village protested before press club and declared that there is acute shortage of drinking water and furniture in the school. The villagers have appointed Private Teacher for their children to save their future.

Surprise visit of D.E.O Education female of the School; 11 Female Teachers absent

District Thatto: District Education Officer female Ms. Gul Zain had surprise visit of Government Girls High School Uderolal and found 11 Teachers absent along with Head Mistress of the School; whereas only two teachers including a male were present in the School. She got angry on it and directed the male teacher to leave the School premises on immediate basis. The Students complained about absence of Teachers.

Impersonation: 100 Students exposed while cheating in English Paper

District Larkana: Education Board team visited different Examination centers during intermediate English paper and found more than 100 students who were appeared in the paper instead of other students. On the other hand English paper was cancelled in Kandhkot due to mismanagement.

Landlord occupied School building and locked its gate

District Khairpur Mirs: The influential landlord of the village Ghilam Rasool Kaladi has occupied the building of Primary School and he is using it as his (Ottaq) sitting place. Girls School Students protested against contractor

Government Books have not been issued; students worried
