Old school building threatens lives of 3,000 students

HSSC exams to start today

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will hold the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) supplementary examinations 2015 from today (Tuesday). Nazim of Town Two disappointed over the absence of teachers from schools

Peshawar: The Nazim of Town Two Mr. Fareedullah Khan Kafoor Dheri along with Member Provincial Assembly Mehmood Khan visited the Garah Tajik’s government schools and showed their disappointment over the absence of teachers from their duties in these schools.  The Nazim issued the letter to the education department for strict disciplinary action against the absent teachers.

Lakki Marwat Primary School No.2 in crumbling condition

Lakki Marwat: The Government Primary School Mena Khel, Lakki Marwat is worsening and threatening the lives of the students. The school building was built in 1900 as a temple of the Hindu Community.  After the establishment of Pakistan, the area’s primary school was established in this building. In 1970 the school was declared dangerous and then closed, and in 1980 the school was reopened for school. The parents and social activists demanded from the government to immediately shift the school to another building for the protection of lives of the students.

HEC to close illegal campuses of all universities

District Lahore: HEC has decided to close down all illegal campuses of all the public and private universities.  HEC has issued notices to 11 universities.  The students who are enrolled in these universities will be examined and degrees will also be issues to them.

TMO Office established in Girls College Johi

District Dadu: Taluka Municipal Office has been established in Government Girls College Johi and this has sidelined girls’ education in the area. The Girls College building was vacant and no staff was deputed there due to carelessness of the management. College employees protest for their salaries

District Naushehro Feroz: The employees of Sukkur College protested for their salaries in Tharo Shah. They declared that salaries were not issued for the last four years. They also told that Education Minister Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro had said that salaries would be released after the court’s decision, but even after the decision of Sindh High Court, salaries were not issued.

Two girls beaten by female teacher for wearing improper dresses

District Dadu: Two girls of Class 7 in a government high school were beaten by their female teacher for improper dressing in the school. Both were beaten and tortured; and subsequently, their health was affected and so were shifted to a nearby hospital.
