Path to progress: New law all set to streamline vocational education

After much deliberation, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly passed the K-P Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Act 2015 on Friday. The bill was referred to a select committee of the house, headed by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, after lawmakers proposed a series of amendments to the bill. The committee had met twice on February 12 and 17 to discuss the bill in detail.

250 Suspended Teachers yet waiting for restoration

Karachi: Three months ago about 250 Teachers were suspended without investigation. Still they not restored in spite of Decision of High Court. In the suspended Teachers 51 are from Badin and Tando Muhammad Khan.

Shortage of Basic Facilities in High School

District Naushehro Feroz: More than Eight Hundred Students of High School Darya Khan murri are facing problem of basic facilities. The building of the High School is in poor condition and its classes are decaying; furniture is short and students have to sit on the ground.

Rally for restoration of Head Master in School

District Badin: More than 200 Students of High School serani organized a protest rally against Transfer of Head Master of their School. The Students and residents told media that Head Master is honest and persona and he runs High School in smooth way, but he is transferred due to involvement of land lord of the village and a new corrupt Head Master is appointed. They demanded from Government to take notice and resolve the issue.

S.U.P members protested against school closure

District Larkana: The members of Sindh United Party organized a protest rally against closure of schools in Taluka Dokri. On the occasion they demanded that Secretary Education should take notice of closed schools and restore them and take action against Education Officers of Dokri.

31 Boys and 51 Girls Schools closed in District Tando Allahyar

Girls Education is ruined due to carelessness of Education Officers of Taluka Chimber. Their non-compliance and distant attitude with Education has left 31 Boys and 51 Girls Schools closed in the Taluka. Teachers of the Schools are free of duties and drawing salary from bank accounts without pay any attention on Girls Education; most of the Teachers are engaged in their local business. The villagers and other residents of cities of the Taluka have demanded from Government to take notice and action against Ghost Teachers and restore closed Schools.

Fifty Percent Children in Sindh out of Schools

Karachi: All claims of Government and Education Department are futile when attentions is taken towards closed Schools of Sindh where thousands of Children are out of Schools and unable to read and write. Even 45 to 50 percent children are out of schools; whereas in rural areas, 59 to 60 percent children do not attend schools and 40 to 42 percent children attend Schools. Their ability of writing is weak and they are unable to write any single simple story in their language. Sindh Education Foundation Member Mr. Aziz Kabani has briefed that they are taking better steps for the promotion of Schools in Sindh. Even Teachers and Parents should play serious role in the improvement of Education in the rural areas of Sindh.
