Rs1,513.7 billion budget 2015-2016 approved

Amid the demand by the provinces to address their development woes, the National Economic Council (NEC), under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, on Monday approved a total development outlay of Rs 1,513.7 billion for the budget 2015-16. The social sector gets Rs70 billion or 10.1 percent share in PSDP out of which Rs20.5 billion will be spent on Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Government ruined Education; no penny utilized from the budget of 3 arab rupees

Report: Larkana: Government has ruined the standard of education in sindh by not utilizing the spared budget on the expenses of education and schools. Millions of rupees of budget was issued for the improvement of Primary, Secondary and High Schools, but the condition of the schools seems even poor. One arab 10 coror and 50 lac rupees were spared for schools of 23 districts, including Larkana, Tharro, Mirpurkhas, Badin and others. 115 Million rupees were spared for up gradation of Middle Schools to High Schools, but funds were not issued. 400 million rupees were spared for up gradation of Secondary Schools to higher Secondary Schools which are not utilized. Likewise no penny is used in the said districts for the promotion of schools and infrastructure.
