Official alleges massive corruption in BISE Kohat

An official of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat, has alleged massive irregularities in the purchase of stationery and construction works in the board, and demanded probe into the matter. Speaking at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday, Momin Khan, academic assistant in BISE Kohat, said the officials concerned had committed massive corruption in the purchase of unnecessary stationery.

Govt to collect data on special children

The Punjab Inclusive Education Project (PIEP), a department of the provincial government, will soon conduct a survey in five tehsils of the district to identify the children with partial disability. According to PIEP Bahawalpur District Manager Rashid Mehmood Bhullar, the survey is aimed at finalising the list of children with partial disability or less disability with a view to admitting them to government schools nearest their homes.

8 million drug addict children in schools

District Rahim Yar Khan:  The schools all over the country have more than 8 million drug addict children and the government has decided to launch an action against the this social evil in the schools, colleges and universities.  In the first phase, the drug suppliers and school authorities will be interrogated and arrests will be made, and in the second phase the drug addict children will be provided treatment and rehabilitation.  New hospitals will also be built for this purpose.   The report also said that the country has more than 30 million drug addicts, the Sindh is on top of the list in drug addicts, Punjab is number 2, KP is number 3, Federal on number 4 and Baluchistan is on number 5.
