Letters to the Editor

Baleful education condition

Today our country is facing many challenges and difficulties in the field of education. In the 80s-70s era only government schools are the source of education and teachers of then school perform their duties with full dedication. They always try to bring positive results in the society by giving them modern education along with character building of the students so they can earn high places.

Technology in Pakistan

Our Country is far from inventing technologies where we import everything (cell Phones, cars, computers and so on). Our government should make a curriculum plan for our engineers, according to this curriculum plan, students can get a quality education after that our country would be counted in developed countries.

Unavailability of Textbooks

Textbooks are essential for providing education to the students. However, because of non-availability of textbooks in Balochistan, different kinds of problems are cropping up. Education in Balochistan’s rural areas

I want to draw the attention of Balochistan government to provide better education system and facilities to the rural areas of the province. The absence of well-defined education, lack of schools and lack of funds are the main reason of the backwardness of rural areas. The most neglected parts of the province are Buleda, Kharan, Bolan, Marri, Bugti tribal areas and many other villages.

Sindh education

Qualitative education plays a great role in bringing positive changes. But the education in Pakistan is, however, worse as compared to other Asian countries. Especially, the education in Sindh is next to nothing. Due to the apathy of the government, literacy rate is reducing and getting worse day by day. Above all, the schools have no academic infrastructure while the teachers habitually remain absent.

Cheating in exams by ‘Murad Wahid’

By this letter I want to drag the attention of the chairman of the Balochistan board towards the intermediate exams that are going to start on 27th of April. Students will try to use illegitimate ways to attempt their papers – something the concerned authorities of the Balochistan board should take notice of. Cheating is a curse is why many students lag behind in their education.

Injustices: Closure of 94 schools in Mohmand decried

Peshawar: Tribal elders decried the closure of 94 schools in Mohmand Agency under the FATA Secretariat’s rationalization policy. Speaking at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday, elders of Mohmand Agency said the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had launched an education enrolment campaign in the tribal areas. However, the FATA Secretariat has flouted the governor’s order and started closing down schools under its rationalisation policy. As per the policy, any primary school that is situated two kilometers away from another institute will be closed down. Similarly, middle school situated within five kilometers of each other and with less than 40 students will also be closed. This move has been criticised because it would compel students to travel long distances to go to school. At the conference, tribal elder Malik Attaullah Tarakzai said the closure of 94 schools so far in Mohmand Agency is “an injustice to the people already affected by war”. He maintained these schools produce high-ranking officials, but still the government closed them down.

Child Labor

Existence of high level of poverty, parental illiteracy and poor schooling opportunities for the children is the main contributing factors to the child labour in Pakistan. In Pakistan about 8 million children are working in various employments and two-third of them are working full time.

Technology in Pakistan

Our Country is far from inventing technologies where we import everything (cell Phones, cars, computers and so on).
