Education budget to be enhanced to 4 percent of GDP soon: Baligh

Education, Training and Standards in Higher Education State Minister, Baligh-ur-Rehman Tuesday said the country would soon be able to allocate four percent of GDP to education sector. 5.4 Milliion Pakistani children out of school, Pakistan lags behind in South Asia –UNESCO Report

District Islamabad: According to the latest UNESCO Report, Pakistan lags much behind in South Asian in the area of education and literacy.  The report said that 5.4 Million children do not go to school, few children reach class 10, only 33% children in Balochistan can read Urdu and Baluchi story books, in Punjab 63% children can read Urdu and Punjab story books, Pakistan has failed to achieve its literacy target that it was to achieve by 2015, which included school enrollment, cutting illeteracy to half, and providing equal opportunities to boys and girls for education. The report said that Pakistan could only achieve its literacy targets by increasing education funds, improving educational standards, eliminating gener bias, access to educational institutions, and creating friendly atmosphere in schools.

School roof caves in, 6 children trapped under rubble

District Dera Ghazi Khan: 6 childer got injured when the school roof of Govt. Primary School Mujahidabad caved in. The incident took place at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  The Rescue 1122 arrived on the scene and shifted the children to hospital.

School roof collapsed; a student injured

District Sanghar: Government Higher Secondary School building is near to collapse. Recently its roof has tumbled and a student is injured. The student was shifted to hospital. While listening to the news on injured student, E.D.O Mr. Yaar Muhammad Baladi visited the hospital and inquired from the student. On the occasion he said that 1100 Schools were affected due to floods of 2011, but since then they are not repaired and the report is sent to Secretary Education.

Secretary Education formed new strategy against favor providers to ghost Teachers

District Thurparker: Education Department has turned Government High School building Mithi to Teachers Training Center, while Students of the School are kept aloof of Education. NTS Pass Teachers would be getting Training in the school up to 24th of April.

Malakang Agency:  The two unidentified person hit on the school going students in Dargai with knives. The students got injuries but know the children are out of danger.  DSP Abdur Rashid Khan said on this occasion we are trying to arrest the culprits. Insufficient arrangements in NTS test in Much

Much: NTS conducted recruitment test in Muchh with insufficient arrangements like drinking water and shades many candidates fainted under scorching beams of sun under open ground. While it is regret to say that NTS has taken 1000 fee from each candidate to appear in test in Baluchistan which is 2 to 3 times higher than Punjab and khaiber Pakhtunkhuwa.
