BISP to enrol two million beneficiary children by Dec 2016: Marvi

Shehbaz takes notice of wrong map in textbook
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday took notice of news published in a section of press regarding disparity in the maps of Pakistan published in the textbooks of Pakistan Studies and Urdu of 5th class. The Chief Minister sought a report from Secretary Education in this regard and ordered him to conduct investigation into the matter. HEC Chairman under scrutiny
Lahore High Court Justice Shahid Karim gave time to the federal government for filing reply to a petition challenging appointment of Dr Mukhtar Ahmad Ahmad as chairman of Higher Education Commission (HEC). Evaluating Performance: Monitors inducted to keep a check on schools
In a bid to keep a check on the progress of schools and evaluate performance of teachers, the government has inducted 225 assistant monitors in 16 districts of the province. The education and literacy department has set up a directorate of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to maintain quality of education and progress of teachers. Failure of the NTS By ‘S.P.K Phullan’
It is really painful to see that the National Testing Service (NTS) has completely failed to announce results of Punjab School Education Department (PSED). According to the students the applications were taken February 15 and the test was conducted on 18th, 19th and 20th March in which about 600,000 students applied for different posts according to their own interest. Each student was charged Rs 475 for the application – which means NTS has collected more than Rs 285,000,000 from applicants.

Karachi: The Minister for Education, Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has said during distributing appointment orders to the newly selected Monitoring Officers in Education Department Sindh that 225 Monitors are appointed in fifteen districts of Sindh to monitor Teachers and Schools; ghost teacher’s salary will be deducted.
