Committee formed to ensure all children go to school
Elders of Kara Khel tribe in Wana have constituted a committee to ensure every child goes to school and provided free tuition and books. The decision was taken during a jirga in Sirkai Kot village on Monday. During the jirga participants decided all those children who had not yet been admitted at schools will be enrolled at education institutes.

Senate body likely to give tough time to former Hazara University VC
The Sub-Committee on Federal Education and Professional Training in the Upper House of the Parliament are likely to give a tough time to the former acting Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Hazara University & Dr. Sohail Shahzad over financial and administrative embezzlements. The misuse of authority at the aforementioned university was first highlighted by Senator Azam Khan Swati who made allegations that the administration had made beyond the rules appointments and that they were also involved in financial corruption.

A group of electrical engineering students from CECOS University of Information Technology and Emerging Sciences have designed a solar-powered environmentally-friendly car with a speed of up to 80 kilometers per hour. FBISE SSC-I exams result in today
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will announce the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-I annual examinations, today (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. The examinations were held between March and April this year says a press release. However, the result cards of the institutions will be available at the One Window Cell of FBISE at 1 p.m.

Primary teachers training to start from 21st July
The training of the primary teachers across Punjab would start from 21st July. The training would continue till 28th July. Program Director DSD Saeed Ramzan would train the teachers according to the new teachers guide.
Board must take the exam in a transparent manner
General President Adeeb Jadwani of All Pakistan Schools Management has said in a press conference that 56% of students fail every year in 9th and 10th annual exams. The reason for this failure is that students do not complete their syllabus on time and improper checking of paper by the board.

NCA faces financial embezzlement, nepotism charges
Pakistan’s prestigious arts and cultural studies’ institution was facing corruption and embezzlement charges, as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was probing the allegations of embezzlement in financial affairs and illegal appointments against the National College of Arts (NCA), Daily Times learned on Monday. NAB spokesman Jahanzeb Chattha confirmed that the bureau had received complaints pertaining to financial embezzlements in NCA. He said that NAB has asked the NCA administration for relevant documents so that everything could become crystal clear.
Central tower repair at GCU starts after 140 years

University asked to withdraw fee hike
The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) alumni association has started an online petition asking the university administration to withdraw a 10 percent hike in tuition fees. Japanese Language Center to be established at KU
The Counsel General of Japan in Karachi met the Vice Chancellor of Karachi University where it was decided that a center for Japanese language and Culture would be established at Karachi University. Varsity admin being threatened for canceling fake degree
The administration of Mehran Engineering University Jamshoro has come under threat after canceling the fake degree of an influential student. Three top officers of the university confided to the news that some prominent politicians, including two elected representatives, were allegedly threatening and pressurizing the varsity management, especially the Controller of Examination to authenticate the fake degree of failed student, Aijaz Iqbal Arain.

15000 ghost teachers revealed in Balochistan
District Quetta: The Education department Balochistan is unable to verify 15000 ghost teachers during teachers verification campaign by the orders of provincial Government. The verification process started at the end of 2014. 42000 teachers were verified during the campaign among 59000 registered teachers; remaining giant number is of ghost teachers. 900 ghost schools are also identified in Balochistan. District Education officials are warned through notices to complete the verification process as soon as possible while grants for ghost teachers & schools have been stopped by the government till the process ends.
