Political interference in educational institutions will not be tolerated: Amjad Ali

Peshawar: The Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Housing, Dr. Amjad Ali said that political interference in the operations of educational institutions would not be tolerated at any cost. Negligence in duties by educational institutions will not be tolerated: Siraj Muhammad

Kohat: The Special Assistant for Sports, Culture & Tourism Malik Amjad Khan Afridi said that education is the basic right of the every child and the provincial government is striving for the provision of this right to every child. These views were shared by Mr. Afridi during his inspection of the newly constructed quarters in Government Higher Secondary School Billi Tang located in his own constituency which incurred a cost of Rs. 2 billion.

Students & public protest against transfer of principal

Ghalanai: Mohmand Agency Tehsil Prang Ghar Nawey Killi students along with the public and civil society representatives held protests against the transfer of Principal Azam Khan, blocking the main road for two hours. The protesters claimed that the principal had restored all the schools of Teshsil Ghallanai as an education officer and deserved to be promoted to A.E.O of Mohmand Agency. They added that the decision of his transfer was outright injustice with the students of the area.

Show cause notices issued to EDO Male & Female

Interference of institutions in government schools will not be tolerated

Bannu: The All Primary Teachers Association meeting was held under the chairmanship of of Farmanullah Jhandokhel which was attended by all circle presidents and general secretaries while large number of teachers also showed up. The Chairman stated that the act of police to lodge F.I.R. against schools’ head teachers was an act of outright injustice.

Exploitation of students by local transport providers: PSF

District Quetta: PSF stated that local transporters exploited students by providing them space on the rooftops of buses despite charging exorbitant fares, endangering their lives and safety. PSF added that governmental schools are the sole means of education for poor children and that the government should take serious efforts for the resolution of such dilemmas.

Campaign for unanimous education system: Islami Jameat Tulba

District Quetta: Islami Jameat Tulba has started a signature campaign for unanimity in education system by displaying the banners in educational institutions of Loralai, Chaman, Nasirabad and Jafferabad districts. A large number of students have taken a keen interest in the campaign. Government should resolve legal educational problems: Dr. Abdul Wahab

District Quetta: A training program for teachers was held by Balochistan Private Schools Organization. Mr. Dr. Abdul Wahab Kakar of PMLN was the chief guest on the occasion. While addressing the session, Kakar said that private schools are filling the vacuum created by the lack of ability on part of the government to fulfill its duty of imparting quality education. He added that the government should resolve all problems of private educational institutions on a priority basis.

Villagers protest against closure of school

District Larkana: The residents of village Mato Jatoi near Gerelo protested against the closure of their village’s primary school. The school having a student body of 100 students had been non-functional for the last six months. Residents urged higher authorities to take notice of the closure school and ensure its restoration.

Teachers should not be politicized: Secretary Education

Karachi: Secretary Education Mr. Fazal Ul Allah Pechuho warned that in case Sindh professors and lecturers committed any mismanagement during intermediate examination, then services would be taken from private institutes and higher secondary schools instead. He added that the task of school teachers is to execute their duties diligently and that they should not concern themselves with politics.

Girls High School closed

District Sanghar: The building of Government Girls High School village Berani has been closed for years. The building was constructed incurring a cost of 50 lac rupees, but was never made functional after construction. Residents of the village have urged higher authorities to make the high school functional on an immediate basis. However, no notice has been taken of the issue.
