Minister’s order to complete Mardan Model School and Sports Stadium on time

KP’s Provincial Minister for basic education Muhammad Atif Khan instructed the concerned authorities that the work for Mardan School and the stadium should be completed in the given time. In a meeting held in Peshawar, he said the estimated cost for the school project is about 22 cores and that of the gymnasium is about 30 cores.

Drone strike kills Pakistani Militant behind Army Public School attack

The Pakistan Army's Inter-Services Public Relations on Wednesday confirmed the killing of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan commander Umar Naray in a CIA-controlled unmanned drone in Afghanistan. Born and brought up as Aurangzeb in Adezai village some 25 kilometers south of Peshawar near the semi-tribal Darra Adamkhel area, Umar Naray changed his name to a more respectable Khalifa Umar Mansur to gain respect in the TTP ranks. The tall and lean terrorist commander was reportedly killed in a drone strike in the early hours of Saturday along with three other Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commanders. One of them being Qari Saifullah in Acheena Bandar, Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. However, the TTP has not yet confirmed the death of one of their most ferocious terrorist commanders.

Financing Education in KP

There is something terribly wrong when government schools are funded through private donations and private madrassas are funded through citizens’ tax money. The Elementary Education Foundation of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government started the Tameer-e-School (TeS) programme in 2014, through which citizens and organizations were requested to donate funds towards the improvement of deserving government schools in KP.

Governor says efforts on to provide education & health facilities

Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said on Wednesday steps were being taken for sustainable peace, successful repatriation and rehabilitation of displaced persons and provide them better health and education facilities. Dates announced for the issuance of registration cards

Intermediate and Secondary education board of Balochistan has announced  the last date  to issue the registration numbers   to class 11, session 2017/18 and migration certificates to students of class 12, session 2017.  October 31st  will be the last date to submit fees for registration cards with a normal fee of 800 and 1600 until November 15th.

Same educational course should be imposed throughout the country

In a statement issued by the provincial educational experts, they said that about 6 lacs children are out of schools alone in Balochistan and about 50 percent of the schools are without basic facilities. The sectoral education system must be cultivated from the country and the same course must be introduced.

Insufficient funds fro Degree College Quetta 

Professors and Teachers Association of Balochistan Saryab Quetta unit issued a press statement asking the concerned authorities to allocate funds for the college. He further said that there are about 4500 students enrolled in  the college while the funds are not sufficient enough for them. In 2014 only 50,000 were given for renovation purposes. He demanded that sufficient funds should be allocated for the college being the oldest institute in Quetta.

Private school fees to be maintained at present level: Minister

Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CA&DD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that the fee structure of the private educational institutions is maintained at the present level. He said this while chairing a consultative meeting with the honors and representatives of the private educational institutions. The participants of the meeting included CADD Secretary, CADD additional secretary, Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) Chairman and the representatives and honors of the private schools including the representatives of different associations of private schools in the rural area of Islamabad.

Federal govt to assist provinces in education sector

Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Engr Baligh Ur Rahman said on Wednesday that the federal government will continue to assist provinces as a role model for the development of the education sector in the country. Speaking at the three-day workshop on the development of national curriculum framework organized by the Ministry of Education, he said that the government was spending a hefty amount for the improvement of the education system in the provinces. He said that the provinces should be independent in education so that the sector could be developed.

Education Department assigns duties to grade 4 employees

The education department has decided to assign the duties for 3-day anti-polio campaign that would start from July 25 to Grade-4 employees of the schools. But the teachers associations have refused to do this because they have already started protest campaign against additional duties. The Directorate of Education Rawalpindi has sent written directives to heads of middle and higher schools to provide two employees each for the polio campaign and those who would fail to carry out the task would face strict action.

Education Minister meets with reps of Ittehad Tanzimat Madaris-e-Deeniya

The State Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Engineer Bligh ur Rahman met with the representatives of the Ittehad Tanzimat Madaris-e-Deeniya to discuss the mainstreaming of seminaries operating across the country. According to details, it was agreed at the meeting that the Ittehad Tanzimat Madaris-e-Deeniya would collectively adopt the syllabus of the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) for matriculation and intermediate classes.

Promoting education: 10,000 school classrooms to be added this year,says Shahbaz

The government will construct thousands of additional classrooms in schools at a cost of Rs28 billion over the next two years, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Wednesday. He was addressing a meeting held to review proposals to implement the project for construction of new classrooms in schools. “More than 10,000 new classrooms will be constructed in the schools at a cost of Rs15 billion during the current financial year,” he said.

Experts believe that a university’s worth is more than the criteria and data used in its ranking. Approval for the construction of school sports complex

Distribution of Medals and shields among position holders

Karak: Medals and shields were distributed among position holders in government schools for the encouragement of Position Holders. Demand to transfer principal midwifery school Harnai

Federal Board Metric Supplementary exams starting from September 27th

District Rahim Yar Khan: The Federal Board Metric Supplementary Examination will start on 27th September 2016.  New candidates will not be eligible for supplementary examination.
