Two KP universities refuse audit

Two major public sector universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have refused to allow the provincial government to conduct their financial and academic audit despite having a provision in the law, according to sources. They said that actually Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) and University of Swat were violating Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities Act, 2012.

Teachers to be appointed on contract in Rawalpindi

A proposal has been floated to hire male and female science teachers in the schools of Rawalpindi only for eight months from next year. According to a summary, the teachers will only be hired from August to March for the academic year 2016, while the teachers will get no salaries or perks from April to July.

852 schools’ buildings declared dangerous

As many as 852 buildings of Punjab schools have been declared dangerous while an estimated amount of over Rs45.45 billion is required for the reconstruction of new buildings for the schools.

Evaluation of Rajanpur Schools begins
