Peshawar: Islami Jamiat Tulba Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nazim Shah Zaman Durrani said that the Education Department has signed contracts with the British Council and other NGOS for the training of primary school teachers. This is a serious matter, as it was very important for the Education Department to take educationists and political and religious parties into confidence but this was not done. After Eid, the Jamiat will run an Education Campaign in which students’ rights, new colleges, fees and other issues will be highlighted.

Hunar Mela Held in Peshawar to promote technical Education

Government wants to promote Education: Baligh-ur-Rehman

Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman said that the Pakistani government is very keen on achieving excellence in education and is therefore working on the improvement of quality of education. Speaking as chief guest at the launching ceremony of Pakistan Education Statistics report 2014-2015 by AEPAM here Thursday, the minister said it is not possible to improve the quality of education without having quality data. It is very important to properly disseminate educational data to different stakeholders, and Pakistan Education Statistics are providing such an avenue to educationists and policymakers. Time series data provided in the report will be useful in determining progress in the education sector within the country over any period of time. Thousands of students’ future seems to be dark at Hayatabad

Peshawar: The futures of thousands of students at Hayatabad seem to be dark but the KP government is playing a silence spectator role. According to the teachers of Working Focus Group School protest, the school has been closed for two years. These views were shared by the Industrial Area Hayatabad Nazim Malik Hidayatullah Khattak and Niab Nazim Rana Naeem Akhtar during an emergency meeting which was attended by industrial workers. Mattani residents Protest in Front of Peshawar Press Club

Peshawar: A large number of people from Mattani staged a protest demonstration  on Saturday in front of Peshawar Press Club against the transfer of girls middle school Adizai area, Union Council Mattani have declared this transfer on political ground. The protesters hold banners and placards in their hands. The Union Council Mattani Former Councilor Sher Bahadar and Ibad Shah headed the protest demonstration. Government is focusing on reestablishment of educational activities

Peshawar: The Political Administration Khyber Agency, Tehsil Barrra informed that they will provide every possible facility to home return victims. From the press release issued from the FATA Secretariat the Political Administration has given full attention to reestablish the education activities in FATA. They said due to the terrorism the most educational institutions are destroyed greatly and it may take some time, so political administration started the Governor Special Development Program. He said that we will provide 90 tents for 30 schools, 150 boards along with stands, 150 tables, and chairs for teachers.

Injustice with FATA students should be stopped

Peshawar: A great number of students from Bajawar Agency of FATA asked the political administration of the Agency to take steps for the early release of annual scholarships. Speaking at a protest demonstration by the FATA student organization, Khaista Rehman said that if they were not instantly addressed they will stage a protest sit-in in front of political agent office of Khyber. British Council, KP government sign pact on teacher’s training

Peshawar: An agreement has been signed at British Council Headquarters London by CEO British Council Ciarán Devane& KP Elementary & Secondary Education Department Minister Mr. Atif Khan. 
According to agreement for the first time in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, British Council will train 83,000 Government School Teachers in Maths, English and Science. Nearly, Rs 560 million will be spent on training of teachers to improve quality of teaching in KP.

Salary of 153 teachers stopped since months

District Shikarpur: Salary of 153 Teachers from Garhi Yaseen has been stopped by the education department on the illegal and fake application of people, for past sixteen months. No inquiry has been conducted to restore their salary.

Around 600 Schools dysfunctional in Chachro

District Tharparker: More than 600 Primary Schools, out of 1200, are completely dysfunctional Taluka Chachro and Dahili, due to carelessness of Education Department. Hundreds of teachers are engaged in their private business and getting salary at homes, leaving school buildings in dilapidated condition. Even SMC funds are being grabbed and no any development work is done.

Education Emergency in Sindh Province

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah declared Education Emergency in the Sindh Province; deciding to bifurcate the education & Literacy department into two departments, school education and college education so that proper concentration could be made on right from primary to college level. He also directed the chief secretary to issue necessary instructions to district administration to keep visiting schools. A mukhtiarkar must be made responsible to visit primary schools of his areas and assistant commissioner secondary schools and DC colleges. Apart from it he constituted another monitoring committee comprising MPA, chairman district council and Deputy Commissioner concerned to look after performance and progress of schools constituency-wise. Over all MPA would be responsible. The meeting held in the conference room of CM House was attended by Minister Education Jam Mehtab Dahar, Chief Secretary Siddique Memon, Secretary Education Fazal Pechuho, ACS (Dev) Mohammad Waseem, Principal secretary Naveed Karman Baloch and others.

Briefing the meeting secretary Education Fazal Pechuho said that there were 45447 schools in the province where over 145000 teaching & non-teaching staff was working. On this the chief minister said that it was not possible for one secretary to look after schools and colleges at a time. "I want special and similar focus on school and college education, therefore education department is being bifurcated into two departments, schools and colleges," he said and directed chief secretary to take necessary measures to implement the decision. Sindh chief minister said that he would also be visiting schools frequently.

Teachers protest over nonpayment of salary

District Sanghar: Teachers from Khipro, including four female Teachers, protested against stoppage of salary for one month. They declared that salary was stopped due to not sending biometric date on time.
