Over 18,000 Register for MBBS admission in KP Colleges
As many as 18,155 applicants have registered to appear in the entry test for admission in MBBS and BDS at public and private medical and dental colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). According to documents of the Khyber Medical University (KMU), the last date for submission of the application is 15th July.

Training Program For College Principals
Punjab Higher Education Commission has announced a training program for the principals of the colleges. 150 principals would participate from different districts of Punjab in the first phase. The opening ceremony would be held today at University of Health Sciences. Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) would train 690 principals of public sector colleges of Punjab. A ghost of a problem?
“There is not a single ghost school in Punjab. That is out of the question. Ghost teachers and ghost schools are not an issue in Punjab,” says a senior official in charge of monitoring. Former president and General Pervez Musharraf once said that “there are between 30 and 40,000 ghost schools, amounting to 20 percent of all schools.” According to Khalid Khattak, an investigative reporter on education, “Punjab doesn’t have a ghost teacher problem like it used to. It’s because of the monitoring system put in place. They are also taking disciplinary action against teachers who do not show up.” “Punjab has fired many teachers,” says Khattak, “We keep hearing complaints from teachers’ associations.”

French government issues 12 Scholarships for PCMD-KU

Development is impossible without education: Ajab Khan
Alpuri: The Shangla Peoples Party Parliamentarian Leader and member Tehsil Council Alpuri Ajab Khan said that the development without the education is impossible. Quran teaching to be made compulsory in all public schools
Peshawar: According to the State Minister for Religious Affairs, Mr. Baleegh-ur-Rehman, change in the education policy will now incorporate Quran education in order to improve the understanding of the religious text in the contemporary era. The minister said that Nazra Quran would be taught from grade one to grade 5 and proper Quranic education with translation would be taught to students of grade six to grade 12 in all public schools. This will ensure a proper and better approach to the interpretation and application of the religious text.
