State of education By ‘Rameez Shahid’

Sindh board examinations for SSC have been started this week. This year the students, teachers and parents were hoping to have a better examination session as the members of Sindh Board examination department promised last year that next time they would try to eradicate the mistakes they have been doing since years. But now the question arises did they fulfill their promise? Did they improve their testing strategy, or is it the same? Did they change examination Centre’s which had no facilities of proper sitting arrangements, electricity and water?

Education needed By ‘Liaqat Hasil’

Pakistan is a country facing a serious problem – that of education. Education is the most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world and bring development. But unfortunately, half of the Pakistani population is illiterate. The poverty rate increases due to this lack of education. And it is because of this that the country is undeveloped. So I request to the government of Pakistan to take great steps to create an educational enhancement in our country.

Campus moral police

Once again, a university has issued an official notification placing restrictions on the dress that students can wear on campus. It has justified this as an effort “to promote a positive image” of the university. The institute in question is the National Textile University in Faisalabad, and the restrictions that are spelled out in the notification are absurd considering the close connection between the textile and fashion industries in Pakistan.
